Lake Geneva Lions Club Donated to Star Center Elementary Fifth Grade Financial Literacy Education Program
The Lake Geneva Lions Club donated to Star Center Elementary fifth grade financial literacy education program. This donation will be used to provide the fifth grade students of the 2019-2020 class with a financial literacy educational program, Junior Achievement (JA) BizTown. The fifth grade teachers at Star Center, the staff of JA BizTown, and DeeDee Giovingo and her FCCLA students at Badger High School, will implement and instruct this financial literacy educational program. The program includes student materials for classroom instruction and a field trip to JA BizTown for a day full of hands on learning experiences. While attending the field trip, students will experience a day full of activities that work to prepare them to become model citizens of a community. This includes voting, following laws, having jobs, and managing their own finances.
